a. 高遠球、吊球和殺球三種不同的頭上擊球動作的準備姿勢是相同的。 下圖顯示三種不同頭上擊球的擊球點。 b. 頭上擊球的準備姿勢 身體轉向側面,非握拍方的肩向網,肘關節屈曲,球拍向上,重心在握拍方的腳。 擊球時,球拍迅速後拉,由上身帶動轉向網方,握拍方的腳開始前移,配合臀部及身體的扭動,揮拍擊球。 肘關節伸直,將拍盡量高學於頭上方,上臂向身體方向內轉,前臂內旋,使球拍在正確的角度擊球。 c. 擊球動作 i. 正手頭上高球 擊球點應在頭上方。 防守性高球和進攻性高球拍面與球接觸的位置和角度是不同的。防守性高球拍面斜向上方,使球以較高的弧線學向對方場區,在被壓迫時,以增取較多時間回防。進攻性高球是拍面向前多於向上。 在跟隨動作下,揮拍並帶動身體前移向非握拍方腳的位置。 ii. 正手頭上扣球 上臂的揮動及內旋比正手頭上高球更有力和迅速。 擊球點在頭的前上方,拍面斜向下。 擊球時,握拍方的腿明顯地屈曲,配合肩關節及上臂有力的轉動擊球。 ii. 正手頭上吊球 當來球到達時,握拍方的前臂內旋速度減慢,使球輕輕地落向對方前場區。技術較高者,直線吊球時,前臂的內旋應較少;而斜吊球,前臂內旋應較多。 吊球前,揮拍速度應迅速減慢,但仍要有足夠的力量將球送過網。擊球點應在頭前上方,介乎頭上高球及扣球的中間位置,拍面應接觸球的側面。
